Case Study: Boston Centerless achieves greater operational control and endpoint security with CurrentWare

A CurrentWare Case Study

Preview of the Boston Centerless Case Study

Boston Centerless gains more control of daily business operations

Boston Centerless, a Boston-based mining and metals supplier, needed better security and control over company devices to prevent data loss, malware and inappropriate web use. After testing firewall-based approaches, the IT team selected CurrentWare and its suite (AccessPatrol, BrowseControl, BrowseReporter and enPowerManager) to meet their device security, web-filtering and monitoring requirements without heavy infrastructure changes.

CurrentWare was deployed using the Remote Client Install to minimize disruption and provided granular controls (no access/read-only/full) for files, USB/device blocking with AccessPatrol, category-based web filtering with BrowseControl and activity reporting with BrowseReporter. The solution delivered 15 standard monitoring reports (e.g., Active vs Total Browsing Time, Application Usage Tracking) that are automatically distributed nightly and reviewed daily by management, improving productivity oversight, preventing illicit data transfers and securing endpoints while enabling energy scheduling and cost savings.
