Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare, needed a way to safely manage rising demand for CAR-T therapy while reducing pressure on limited inpatient capacity. Working with Current Health, the team looked to expand high-touch outpatient care for these high-acuity oncology patients using remote monitoring and clinical support.

Current Health provided an advanced remote patient monitoring solution with wearable devices, a patient app, and a Clinical Command Center staffed by clinical and technical support teams. The program moved more than 75% of CAR-T therapies to outpatient settings, helped save over 1,200 hospital bed days in the first 100 patients, and enabled 17% of patients to avoid hospitalization, while maintaining fast alarm response and resolution times.
