Baptist Health, a major healthcare system, faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. A surge in hospitalizations threatened to overwhelm its capacity, and the unpredictable nature of the virus required longer patient monitoring. The health system needed a way to safely provide hospital-level care at home to preserve beds and protect its staff from exposure. They turned to Current Health for a remote patient monitoring solution.

Current Health provided a platform that enabled continuous monitoring of patients' vital signs at home using a wearable device. The solution included a clinical dashboard and configurable alarms, allowing Baptist Health’s team to intervene early if a patient's condition deteriorated. This approach allowed 270 patients to be monitored at home for an average of 12 days, resulting in zero readmissions and successfully preserving critical hospital capacity.
