Starling Bank worked with Currencycloud to address the needs of UK small and medium-sized businesses that were underserved by traditional banking, especially for international trade. Starling added local USD accounts to its existing GBP offering using Currencycloud Spark, a multi-currency ewallet solution.

With Currencycloud Spark, Starling customers can hold, receive, pay out, and convert multiple currencies, including using a US addressable account number and ACH routing number. Currencycloud helped Starling make USD payments faster, reduced fees by allowing customers to hold currency locally and make unlimited ACH payments with no charge per payment, and made reconciliation easier because amounts are sent and received in full.
