How Alpaca Unlocked A Streamlined And Efficient Funding Experience For Its Global Customers

Alpaca, a global API brokerage platform launched in 2018, wanted to improve the international funding experience for its broker partners and end users. Its existing process relied on international wires and bank-based FX conversions, which were slow, costly, and made it harder to support global customers.

Alpaca worked with Currencycloud to add an international multi-currency solution, including Funding Wallets for Broker API and local collections and payments. The integration helped Alpaca automate operations, reduce settlement times from days to minutes, and cut one key client’s settlement time from one and a half days to around 30 minutes, while also saving around nine thousand dollars a month once full adoption is reached.
