Lunar Way, a Danish banking app founded in August 2015 that offers subscription-based accounts, cards and banking services, needed to modernize international payments, reduce operating costs and give its developers more autonomy. To achieve this, Lunar Way partnered with Currencycloud and integrated Currencycloud’s payment platform and APIs to replace archaic banking processes and enable faster time-to-market.

Currencycloud’s platform and APIs lowered Lunar Way’s base expenses and enabled new products such as a multi-currency travel card and inexpensive currency exchange, while providing proactive support for ongoing development. The result was significant increases in sales and revenue, substantial time savings, the launch of an international Travel Card and clear cost‑saving and expansion opportunities driven by Currencycloud’s technology.
