Case Study: Kindred boosts service performance with Curity Identity Server

A Curity Case Study

Preview of the Kindred Case Study

Kindred increased the performance of their services with the Curity Identity Server

Kindred, one of Europe’s largest online gambling groups, needed an identity solution that could scale with bursty global traffic, meet strict security and regulatory requirements, and speed up a login process that was taking too long. Their existing identity setup couldn’t keep up with the demands of a microservices architecture, especially while balancing internal access needs with multiple legacy systems. Curity, using the Curity Identity Server, was brought in to address these challenges.

Curity implemented a gradual migration approach that allowed Kindred to integrate legacy systems during the transition, while moving to a token-based architecture and an orchestrated login flow with the Curity Authentication Service. The result was improved service performance, a faster time from registration to access and play, and a better user experience globally, including for users on slower connections or far away. Curity’s Token Service also gave Kindred the flexibility to tailor tokens for different legal and operational requirements, saving time, effort, and money by avoiding a full replacement of existing systems.
