Appalachian College Association (ACA), a nonprofit consortium of 35 private liberal arts colleges, needed a more cost-effective way to support communication and collaboration across its member institutions. Their existing system was too complex, difficult for members to use, and expensive because they were paying for features they did not need. ACA also wanted a better alternative to email that would be easier for members to adopt.

Cureo provided a simpler, website-accessible community engagement platform that ACA could roll out gradually and expand over time. With Cureo, ACA now manages 50 channels for 3,500 users, supports communities of practice, board communications, committee work, and grant review, and has centralized member contacts in one place. The result has been easier, more professional communication, better member-to-member collaboration, improved board readiness, and greater visibility into engagement levels.
