Verne Global is a wholesale provider of 100% renewable, cost-efficient data center space based in Keflavik, Iceland and Washington, D.C. To win customers they needed to educate the market about green data centers but lacked the budget and marketing assets to run expensive outbound campaigns, so their challenge was to build credibility and generate qualified leads with limited resources.
They used Curata CCS to power Green Data Center News, a curated and original-content microsite that required minimal time to maintain. Within 12–18 months the site became an industry hub (winner of a 2013 Stevie Award), drove more than half of the company’s inbound media/PR requests, referred about 15% of site traffic to Verne Global, and effectively established the company as a thought leader while running largely on autopilot.
