How Pendleton Increased Average Order Value by 10%

Pendleton Woolen Mills, a heritage brand of wool apparel and home goods, wanted a more frictionless, discovery-driven commerce experience. Facing the gap between inspirational editorial imagery and product pages, Pendleton sought a dynamic, interactive and informative solution to help shoppers find and buy products from styled looks.

Working with Curalate, Pendleton made editorial and user-generated images shoppable so shoppers can hover, discover items and click through to purchase. An initial test cut bounce rate by 10% and, after broader rollout, top images routinely drive 50,000+ impressions and >5% CTR; overall average order value rose 10% for Curalate shoppable images (7% uplift from engagement with the lifestyle gallery), while advanced reporting also helped optimize imagery and ambassador programs.
