Creative Recreation, a Los Angeles footwear brand inspired by street art, wanted more engaging visual content to better retarget mobile shoppers on Facebook and improve ad performance. The challenge was to make product creative more compelling at scale for Dynamic Ads without creating individual ads for each item.
Partnering with Curalate, they replaced stock photos with lifestyle/editorial imagery, used carousel creatives, and applied Curalate’s Smart Cropper for ideal mobile formatting. In seven months their clickthrough rate doubled (3.85% → 7.57%), cost per click dropped from $0.28 to $0.11, and return on ad spend rose from 16x to 25x (a 56% increase).
