Lyreco, a global distributor of office and work supplies operating in 40 countries, needed to improve the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of its Nespresso machine service while maintaining its high service levels. To meet these demands, Lyreco turned to Cumulocity and its VendMe vending machine, stock, and operations management application, built on the Cumulocity IoT platform.

Cumulocity implemented a fully integrated solution with real-time machine, stock, and sales monitoring, business rules, telemetry connectivity, and SAP ERP integration, plus a mobile operator app. The result was near-zero out-of-order and out-of-stock issues, automated stock management that reduced manual truck rolls, and faster fault detection and customer support, all delivered in just two weeks.
