Statbel, the Belgian bureau of statistics, wanted to make open data on local municipalities easier to explore for policy makers and the general public. To do this, they needed a user-friendly way to present complex statistical information without requiring users to download, combine, or analyze datasets themselves.

Statbel chose Cumul.io as the embedded analytics layer for its new “Discover your municipality” tool, using Cumul.io dashboards to deliver interactive, branded visuals with minimal technical effort. The integration reportedly took less than 100 lines of code, required no custom dashboard development, and allowed Statbel to launch a high-quality solution in just a couple of months instead of what could have taken years.
