Zumaia Offshore - Customer Case Study

Zumaia Offshore, a leading workboat owner and operator based in the Basque Country, needed a highly versatile offshore support vessel capable of handling a wide range of shallow-water tasks such as dredging assistance, port construction and maintenance, survey work, diving support, and general offshore operations. To meet this challenge, the company took delivery of Cummins-powered MPP workboat Aitana B from Neptune Shipyards.

Cummins equipped Aitana B with a pair of QSK38-M diesel engines, along with gensets, thrusters, and a dynamic positioning system to support demanding workboat operations. The result is a “Swiss Army Knife” workboat with 35-ton certified bollard pull, 10.8-knot speed, strong station-keeping capability, and proven nonstop performance on DP-requiring projects since delivery.
