Wrigley Field - Customer Case Study

Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs in Chicago, needed a major renovation upgrade that included reliable backup power for the ballpark, nearby office building, and critical broadcast operations. The challenge was finding a compact generator solution that could fit tight space constraints while still meeting a 3-MW emergency power requirement.

Cummins supplied a QSK95 3MW/4160V generator set with PowerCommand control to deliver seamless standby power and fast transfer during outages. The solution provided a smaller footprint than comparable competitive units, simplified maintenance, and supported installation in a dedicated building across from the ballpark; the project was completed in 24 months and improved safety and security for patrons, staff, and operations.
