World’s Largest Fashion Group’s Logistics Centre - Customer Case Study

Inditex, the world’s largest fashion group, needed a dependable standby power solution for its 80,000-square-metre logistics centre in Palafolls, Spain, to keep operations running during any mains power outage. With critical manufacturing and distribution processes dependent on uninterrupted electricity and strict low-noise requirements, the company evaluated options from Cummins and Caterpillar.

Cummins supplied two C1675D5 generator sets, delivering a total of 2,680 kW in parallel with the utility in automatic standby mode, using KTA 50G8 engines and PowerCommand PCCP3100 control. The solution provided reliable backup power for the entire logistics centre, helping ensure uninterrupted operations, and was selected for Cummins’ proven reliability at other Inditex facilities and its ability to meet low-noise emission requirements.
