Willard Marine - Customer Case Study

Willard Marine, a California-based builder of rigid hulled inflatable boats (RIBs), needed a powerful, versatile propulsion solution for its large SEA FORCE 1100 model. The boat was designed for demanding military and civilian roles, requiring strong speed, payload capacity, and reliable performance in rough conditions.

Cummins supplied twin 6-cylinder QSB6.7-liter EPA Tier 3 engines, each rated at 380 horsepower, to power the Willard Marine RIB through Hamilton water jets. With this Cummins-powered setup, the boat reached 38 knots at 17,600 pounds and 34 knots at 20,000 pounds total weight, while delivering 5,600 pounds of bollard pull.
