A Cummins Case Study

Preview of the Harley Marine Gulf Case Study

Where There Are American Waters Harley is There

Harley Marine Gulf needed to expand quickly into the inland waterways with a new fleet of 75-foot push boats that could meet high performance and sustainability standards. To support this growth, the company turned to Cummins for marine propulsion and auxiliary power for its new builds at Conrad Shipyard.

Cummins supplied EPA Tier II compliant K38-M marine engines, each delivering 1000 HP, along with Cummins 6BTA5.9-DM generators for auxiliary power. The resulting push boats, including Thunder, Lightening, and Silver Stardust, were built to a seven-foot light draft and placed into service quickly, helping Harley Marine Gulf accelerate fleet expansion across the Gulf Coast and inland waterways.
