Viettel Mobile, Vietnam’s leading telecom operator, needed reliable standby power to keep mobile network, internet, and datacenter services running across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. The company was expanding quickly and required a power partner that could meet strict reliability, budget, and service expectations. Cummins provided generator-based backup power systems, including Cummins C2000D5 gensets in the broader project.

Cummins designed and installed multiple standby power systems for Viettel, including 3 x 500 kVA, 11 x 1000 kVA, 2 x 1250 kVA, 7 x 2000 kVA, and 2 x 2250 kVA generator sets, with some units integrated in parallel with Viettel’s existing competitor equipment in Da Nang. The result was uninterrupted operations and dependable backup support for Viettel’s fast-growing network, with the customer praising Cummins gensets as stable and reliable and noting strong sales and technical support.
