Standby Power Generators Add Reliability, Easy Maintenance To New Lift Stations

Romtec Utilities worked with Cummins to support the City of Camas, Washington, as it upgraded an aging sewage collection system for a growing population. Because the ecologically sensitive community could not risk sewage backups during a utility outage, the city needed reliable standby power for new critical lift stations.

Cummins supplied seven standby diesel generators, ranging from 20 kW to 200 kW, along with OTEC open transition transfer switches and sound-attenuated enclosures. The pre-engineered packages were designed for easy installation, maintenance, and operator training, helping Camas install new lift stations quickly and improve reliability so sewage pumping continues even when utility power is unavailable.
