A Cummins Case Study
Serodino, a Tennessee-based inland marine company, built the M/V Charger for its own fleet as a new Tiger class push boat. To power the vessel, Serodino turned to Cummins for a pair of updated Tier 2 compliant QSK19-M main engines, along with Twin Disc gearing and related propulsion and control systems.
Cummins’ QSK19-M engines each deliver 600 hp, giving the Charger dependable power for push-boat service while supporting Serodino’s in-house design. The vessel also features hydraulically powered rudders, onboard generators, and extensive tankage and crew accommodations, resulting in a modern, efficient boat suited to Serodino’s inland marine operations.
