SEACOR Marine - Customer Case Study

SEACOR Marine, a global offshore vessel operator known for pushing crewboat and fast supply boat innovation, needed high-speed, highly redundant vessels that could serve multiple oilfield markets while meeting both IMO and U.S. Coast Guard requirements. To power this new fleet, SEACOR turned to Cummins and its QSK60-M engines for a series of large mono-hull boats across three classes.

Cummins supplied 2700 HP QSK60-M engines paired with Hamilton waterjets and Twin Disc gears, supporting SEACOR’s 202-Class, Express Class, and Express Plus Class vessels. The solution delivered up to five engines and five jets per boat, DP2 capability, and strong speed performance—over 37 knots light and better than 20 knots loaded—while adding redundancy for continued operation if a system fails.
