A Cummins Case Study

Preview of the SaskTel Case Study

SaskTel - Customer Case Study

SaskTel, a leading Canadian telecom provider, needed to upgrade standby power at its downtown Saskatoon data center to support growth and replace an existing 1,750 kW generator set that no longer provided enough capacity. They chose Cummins and the QSK95 high-horsepower generator set, Model C3250 D6e, for its reliability, compact footprint, and strong fuel economy.

Cummins Western Canada installed Canada’s first QSK95, a 3,250 kW generator set, after a carefully planned third-floor lift and commissioning of a complete Cummins power system. The new solution improved SaskTel’s data center protection, reduced service frequency and downtime during maintenance, and gave the company dependable standby power with no limitation on operating hours under the DCC rating.
