A Cummins Case Study
Samsung SDS Software Institute in Suwon, South Korea, needed highly reliable standby power to keep its critical data storage and research operations running 24/7 in the event of a utility failure. The institute selected Cummins Power Generation for a fully integrated, turnkey standby power solution.
Cummins Power Generation implemented seven 2,000 kW Cummins C2000 D6 generator sets powered by QSK69G6 diesel engines, managed by two PowerCommand Digital MasterControl MC 200 systems and PCC3201 controllers. The result was uninterrupted power for the Samsung SDS Software Institute’s data center and R&D facility, and the installation set a Korean industry record for the largest number of generator sets installed at one site.
