PIRIOU, through its SEAS shipyard in Vietnam, needed a high-speed, DP2-capable Fast Support Intervention Vessel for offshore crew changes and platform support. The vessel had to combine speed, payload capacity, maneuverability, and fire-fighting capability in a compact 53.4-meter design.

Cummins supplied the propulsion and onboard power package, including four KTA50-M2 main engines driving Hamilton water jets, plus 6CTA 8.3 D(M) engines for generators and hydraulic systems. The result was a vessel capable of 30 knots light and 20 knots with a 226-ton payload, while meeting ABS class requirements for HSC crew boat, DP2, and fire-fighting service.
