Park Isle Marine - Customer Case Study

Park Isle Marine, a Sooke, BC-based boat builder, wanted to create a distinctive, highly capable cruiser based on the Fathom 40/43 design, with improved quality, functionality, and efficient performance. Working with Cummins, the company equipped the vessel with a Cummins QSB6.7 marine engine rated at 425 hp, along with supporting propulsion and hydraulic systems.

Cummins helped power a well-finished demo vessel that delivered strong real-world performance and fuel economy. The boat burns only about 2 US gallons per hour at 8 knots, can reach 20 knots light and 18 knots on sea trials with load, and benefits from the engine’s hydraulic power takeoff for bow and stern thrusters and an anchor winch, all in a quiet, well-insulated engine room.
