Over 200 feet, Over 10,000 HP: McCall Builds Bigger

SEACOR Marine, a subsidiary of SEACOR Holdings, needed to push the offshore crewboat market to a new level with larger, faster, and more capable vessels. Working with Cummins, the company set out to build four new 202-foot mono-hulled fast supply boats that would exceed the size and performance of its earlier 190-foot boats.

Cummins powered the solution with four QSK60 engines per vessel, each rated at 2,700 hp, for a total of 10,800 hp per boat. The result was a fleet designed for 32-knot light-boat speed and 20 knots loaded, with major cargo capacity, DP2 dynamic positioning, and advanced onboard systems; each vessel also carried substantial fuel and water capacity and accommodation for passengers and crew.
