Ocean Leader Shipbuilding Co. Ltd - Customer Case Study

Ocean Leader Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., a coastal tanker builder in Guangdong Province, China, needed reliable propulsion and auxiliary power systems for its small-to-mid-size product tankers. Cummins supplied marine engines and generator sets for vessels including the 599-ton M/V Supreme and the 2700 DWT M/V Radiance.

Cummins equipped the M/V Supreme with twin KTA19-M main engines rated at 600 HP each, plus 6BTA2.9 generator sets, and the larger M/V Radiance with twin KTA38-M engines rated at 900 HP each and 6CTA8.3 generator sets. These installations delivered 1,200 HP and 1,800 HP of propulsion power respectively, helping the Supreme reach 9.5 knots and the Radiance 10.7 knots, while providing dependable auxiliary power for crew and cargo operations.
