Ocean Leader Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., a coastal tanker builder in Guangdong Province, China, needed reliable propulsion and auxiliary power systems for its small-to-mid-size product tankers. Cummins supplied marine engines and generator sets for vessels including the 599-ton M/V Supreme and the 2700 DWT M/V Radiance.

Cummins equipped the M/V Supreme with twin KTA19-M main engines rated at 600 HP each, plus 6BTA2.9 generator sets, and the larger M/V Radiance with twin KTA38-M engines rated at 900 HP each and 6CTA8.3 generator sets.
