Nigerian Bottling Company - Customer Case Study

Nigerian Bottling Company, one of Nigeria’s largest beverage producers, needed a reliable off-grid power solution for its bottling factories across multiple sites. Cummins provided natural-gas-powered trigeneration systems using QSV91 gas generator sets to support steam, electricity, and cooling production while reducing dependence on diesel and unstable grid power.

Cummins installed nine 1750 kW QSV91 gas generator sets and one 2000 kW QSV91 unit across sites including Ikeja, Owerri, and Port Harcourt, with further rollout planned. The solution delivered 120 million kWh over three years, cut power costs by 50% versus diesel generation, achieved 99.46% power availability at one CNG-supplied site, and enabled NBC to export surplus electricity to the grid.
