Neuville Boat Works - Customer Case Study

Neuville Boat Works, a Louisiana shipyard, needed a reliable propulsion solution for its long-running 47-foot crew boat design amid slow market conditions and limited demand for larger crew boats. The customer had been building this vessel class for decades and required an efficient marine engine package for 24-passenger offshore service.

Cummins supplied a pair of 400 HP QSL9 marine diesels rated at 2100 RPM, matched with Twin Disc gears and open propellers. The resulting boat runs light at 24 knots and includes features such as air conditioning, aft cargo capacity, ballast tanks, and a bow push bumper on the BORCO version, supporting safe and versatile crew transfer operations.
