Los Angeles International Airport - Customer Case Study

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), one of the busiest airports in the world, needed mobile backup power that could be quickly deployed across its terminals and also meet strict South Coast Air Quality Management District emissions requirements. LAX selected Cummins to help solve the challenge, looking for a solution that was reliable, mobile, and competitively priced.

Cummins supplied two QSK60 2 MW generator sets with paralleling switchgear and custom sound- and weather-proof enclosures, along with the Cummins Pacific e¯Mission™ D250 Active DPF System. The mobile standby units delivered emissions-compliant backup power with automatic DPF regeneration and consistent performance, helping LAX maintain uninterrupted operations across its 640-acre facility.
