Japanese Red Cross Society - Customer Case Study

The Japanese Red Cross Society, Chiba Branch, needed a more reliable power solution for its blood collection vehicles as blood transfusion demand increased and its existing gensets caused frequent servicing and downtime. Cummins provided Cummins Onan generator sets, selected for their reliability, advanced technical capabilities, quiet operation, and low vibration.

Cummins and its distributor partners replaced the older units with Cummins Onan HDKAL and HGJAE gensets across the JRCS fleet, including the Chiba branch and additional vehicles nationwide. The new systems delivered 6,000 to 8,000 uninterrupted operating hours over three years, reduced servicing frequency, and created a better environment for blood donors, enabling a phased rollout to 20 more vehicles.
