Jaguar - Customer Case Study

Jaguar Mine in Kalgoorlie, Australia, needed a reliable, cost-efficient prime power solution for its remote zinc and copper operation. With diesel prices rising and aggressive production targets to meet, the mine looked to **Cummins** and its gas generator set expertise, specifically the QSV91 gas gensets, to provide dependable power in a hard-to-reach location.

**Cummins** delivered a turnkey natural gas power station with four QSV91 generator sets, a DMC300 Digital Master Control system, and a black-start diesel backup unit. The installation tapped into the Goldfields Gas Pipeline and helped Jaguar Mine reduce fuel costs while improving load acceptance and operational reliability; each genset produced 1,750 kW, and the system supported about 700 tons per day of concentrator throughput.
