Iguazú Jungle - Customer Case Study

Iguazú Jungle, a tourism operator on Argentina’s Iguazú River, needed a fast, reliable vessel to safely carry passengers through powerful currents and rapids on excursions to Iguazú Falls. To meet that challenge, the company turned to Cummins for marine power solutions, using Cummins QSB6.7 engines to support the new boat’s demanding river service.

Cummins equipped the 12.6-meter fiberglass-hulled RIB-style Iguazú Jungle boat with a pair of QSB6.7 engines delivering 480 bhp (353 kW) at 3000 rpm, paired with Alamarin AHJ340 water-jets. The result is a vessel with a 28-knot top speed, a 60 cm draft, and the ability to run six trips per day while carrying up to 60 passengers per voyage—transporting as many as 360 tourists daily with a two-person crew.
