Hennopspride Lifestyle Resort, a South African food manufacturer and distributor of bakery products, needed a reliable standby power solution to keep production running during blackouts. The company was also looking for a turnkey installation that could meet strict noise-emission requirements while supporting a major new production line at its Lifestyle Park facility.

Cummins South Africa supplied a C1400D5(S) generator set in a 12M ISO container with sound attenuation, plus a complete automatic changeover system and installation package. The solution delivered dependable backup power for the entire building at 2000A, reduced noise to 75 dBA at 7 meters, and performed well enough that the customer later ordered an additional Cummins standby power unit for its Fifers Bakery site.
