Hemas Hospital in Thalawatugoda, Sri Lanka needed a reliable standby power solution to protect critical healthcare operations such as operating theatres, intensive care, emergency services, and a CT scanner that could not rely on UPS support. Cummins supplied the hospital with standby power support using 1 x C440D5 and 1 x C90D5 generator sets.

Cummins Power Generation delivered and installed the generator sets on a tight schedule, helping the hospital open on time despite space and noise constraints. With support from local distributor Trade Promoters Ltd., the project also included acoustic modifications to reduce noise, and the hospital reported that the project was completed as expected and opened as planned.
