A Cummins Case Study
Halyps Cement Factory, part of HeidelbergCement Group, needed reliable standby power for its large cement plant in the Attica region of Greece. The site had to support critical auxiliary systems such as pumps, ovens, lighting, and UPS equipment in the event of a grid failure, while also coping with challenging conditions from dust and salty air. Cummins was chosen, supplying 2 x Cummins C450D5eB enclosed generator sets.
Cummins, through its Greek distributor Ergotrak, installed the generator sets in a carefully selected location protected from cement dust and salt exposure, with preheaters added so the system could take the highest load in a single step. The result is dependable standby power for the plant’s operations, with ongoing service and support from Ergotrak helping ensure continued performance.
