A Cummins Case Study
Goldacres, an Australian manufacturer of spray equipment, needed reliable driveline and engine solutions for its growing line of self-propelled sprayers, from compact horticulture machines to large broad-acre units. In 1998, the company selected Cummins as its driveline partner for the development of its first self-propelled Crop Cruiser.
Cummins provided a range of engines, including the 5.9-litre 6BTA, QSB4.5 Tier 3, and QSB6.7, to power Goldacres’ sprayers. The result was quieter, more fuel-efficient, and durable equipment with strong performance and compact installation; the QSB4.5 was 5.9 decibels quieter than its predecessor, and Goldacres has since sold more than 400 Cummins-powered self-propelled sprayers.
