Franklin Data Center - Customer Case Study

Cummins worked with Franklin Data Center in Franklin, Tennessee, to support a new business continuity-focused facility designed around security and resilience. The customer’s challenge was to create a second data center far enough from its Columbus, Indiana headquarters to avoid shared risk from weather or outages, while ensuring secure, reliable standby power and 24/7 operations.

Cummins provided a 2500 kW DQLC standby diesel generator set, a PowerCommand® Automatic Transfer Switch, and a 6500-gallon fuel tank to support the Franklin Data Center’s standby power needs. The solution gives the site up to four days of generator runtime and is backed by Cummins Crosspoint’s installation, maintenance, and 24/7 service, helping the facility achieve a highly secure, redundant infrastructure with an option to pursue Tier III status.
