Form and Function in the Offshore

Bordelon Marine, an offshore vessel operator based in Lockport, Louisiana, wanted to expand its fleet with new boats that balanced performance, crew comfort, and attractive design. To support this challenge, the company worked with Cummins to power a new generation of larger 252-foot DP2 vessels in its PSV and MPSV lineup, following earlier Cummins-powered mini supply boats.

Cummins provided QSK60-M Tier 3 engines for Bordelon Marine’s new “Stingray” series vessels, which were being built at the company’s own shipyard in Houma, Louisiana. The solution helped Bordelon Marine add three modern, well-designed vessels to its fleet, improving comfort, appearance, and affordability in the offshore market.
