Digital Realty deploys 9.6 MW of critical backup power with Cummins

Digital Realty, a global data center provider, faced the challenge of installing a reliable critical power protection system to meet stringent Tier 3 certification requirements for its new facility in Australia. To achieve this, they partnered with Cummins Power Generation for a high-performance power solution.

Cummins implemented a solution consisting of six roof-mounted diesel generator sets, providing 9.6 MW of reliable prime power. The project was completed on time and on budget, delivering a system that met the industry's highest standards for reliability. The result was a fully certified power system with N+1 redundancy, capable of running for a minimum of 24 hours at full load, ensuring complete data center integrity.
