Digital Realty Datacampus needed a highly reliable critical protection power system for its Erskine Park data center in Sydney, Australia, to meet stringent Tier 3 certification requirements. To support continuous operation for the facility’s server environment, the company chose Cummins Power Generation, including diesel generator sets and related power infrastructure.

Cummins Power Generation implemented a 9.6MW prime power solution with six roof-mounted C2250D5 diesel generator sets powered by QSK60G4 engines, plus custom acoustic enclosures and fuel systems. The system was designed for N+1 redundancy and integrated with the UPS, with full testing completed on schedule and on budget; it can sustain the facility for at least 24 hours at full load using 80,000 liters of underground diesel storage.
