Dauntless - Customer Case Study

Dauntless, operated by Justin and Sara Yager, needed to rebuild a Gulf shrimper that had suffered a serious fire and was ready for a major modernization. They worked with Cummins for repower solutions, including a Cummins QSK19-M main engine and a Cummins QSB7-powered generator, as part of turning the damaged boat into a more efficient, modern fishing vessel.

Cummins helped power the rebuilt F/V Dauntless with a 750 hp QSK19-M, Twin Disc gear, CENTINEL lube oil management, and a QSB7 generator setup for deck hydraulics and backup power. The result was a completely transformed vessel with a larger beam, more deck space, improved handling, and efficient towing at about two knots with twin 90-foot trawls; Yager also extended oil-change intervals to 1,000 hours.
