A Cummins Case Study
Islamabad International Airport, the new and largest airport project in Pakistan, needed a reliable standby power solution to support its major infrastructure buildout and future passenger operations. Cummins, working through its Pakistan distributor Orient Energy Systems and with Siemens, provided the generator capacity required for the airport’s power generation needs.
Cummins supplied four C400 D5 generator sets, rated at 360 kVA prime and 400 kVA standby, to power the airport’s substation. The solution met Siemens’ technical and service requirements and was validated through factory witness testing in the UK, helping ensure dependable standby power for the airport’s planned 180,000 m2 terminal, cargo complex, and extensive passenger facilities.
