Cummins helps expand a major water treatment plant

Major Water Treatment Plant Service Provider needed an emergency standby power system to support the expansion of the Al Ansab water treatment plant in Oman, nearly doubling capacity for both the treatment plant and pumping station. Cummins was chosen to help meet the project’s demanding “single-window system” requirements and tight delivery timeline.

Cummins delivered a 14.5 MVA emergency standby power solution built around five generator sets, including the first in Oman powered by a QSK95 Series engine. The system included C2500 DSA and C3500 DS units for the treatment facilities, plus 415 V units for the pumping station, and all equipment was delivered on schedule in 2016.
