Cummins Establishes Quality Standby Power Partnership with Tokyo Denki

Tokyo Denki, one of Japan’s leading manufacturers of engine-driven generators, needed a reliable, competitively priced engine supplier for its standby generator set business. The company was looking for quality engines that would fit its budget and meet strict pre-delivery quality expectations for integrated generator set solutions.

Cummins, through its Japanese distributor Cummins Japan Limited, supplied Tokyo Denki with Cummins Power Technology CoolPacs, including 60 units of 4BTA3.9G2, 20 units of 6BT5.9G2, and two 6BTA5.9G2 prototype units. The solution helped Tokyo Denki secure a trusted partnership with Cummins and positioned the company for future growth, with expected annual consumption of roughly 600 to 800 units of these engines over the next two years.
