CP Bangladesh Poultry Farm - Customer Case Study

CP Bangladesh Poultry Farm, part of the Charoen Pokphand Group, opened a new poultry operation in Dhaka, Bangladesh and needed a dependable prime power source to keep its feed mills running amid frequent, prolonged power outages. The farm turned to Cummins for a reliable power system to avoid costly disruptions and maintain continuous operations.

Cummins supplied a 6.4MW prime power solution consisting of four C2250D5 diesel generator sets powered by QSK60G4 engines, a PowerCommand® digital master control 1000 paralleling system integrated with switchgear, and three 3,200-amp automatic transfer switches. The integrated system provided reliable automated power for the feed mills, and Cummins’ single-source design, commissioning, and support helped ensure smooth installation, fast load transfer, and confidence in long-term performance.
