Colnago 45, the Croatian shipyard founded by Luka Colnago, needed a powerful yet lightweight propulsion solution for its 45-foot aluminum work-and-pleasure boat. The challenge was to deliver workboat durability and commercial capability while still providing yacht-level comfort, quiet operation, and strong performance for year-round use. Cummins supplied the QSB6.7 engine for the vessel.

Cummins’ 480-HP QSB6.7 common-rail diesel engine gave the Colnago 45 the speed and efficiency it needed, helping the 8,500 kg boat get on plane quickly and reach 25 knots fully loaded. The engine also reduced noise and virtually eliminated exhaust smoke while meeting IMO2 and EPA3 certification requirements, supporting a smooth, clean, and reliable boating experience.
