Chaophraya River Line Company - Customer Case Study

Chaophraya River Line Company needed reliable onboard power for Baan Khanitha Cruise, a teak dinner boat on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. As the vessel was converted from a sightseeing barge into a floating fine-dining restaurant, its galley gained extensive electrical requirements for commercial cooking, cooling, dishwashing, ventilation, lighting, and entertainment.

Cummins supplied a 4BTA 3.9-liter genset with a 30 kW Stamford generator to meet the boat’s power demand. The solution provided dependable electrical capacity for the modern kitchen and hospitality systems, supporting a fully equipped floating restaurant that can serve 63 dinners while preserving the vessel’s traditional teak character.
