A Cummins Case Study
Broken Arrow Water Treatment Plant in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was building a new facility to serve more than 100,000 people and needed dependable emergency standby power to protect water supply during storms and outages. The city and contractor wanted a reliable solution with strong local support, so they turned to **Cummins** and its generator and controls technology.
**Cummins** supplied three 2 MW generator sets, a PowerCommand® DMC 300 paralleling system, and switchgear to create a complete one-manufacturer standby power solution. The closed-transition system was designed for uninterrupted transfer back and forth with utility power, helping the plant maintain critical operations through phase two construction and beyond, with the facility planned for 20 million gallons of capacity and future expansion to double output.
